How can a scarecrow walk? (tag lady tremaine, and maybe anastasia too)

"Because there is no reason for us to harm you. As you are now, you are nothing. No cities, no armies, you have nothing to your name. But you are clever. Clever enough to to help us get what we want which will get you what you want." Tremaine said coolly. Evil as she was, Tremaine was incredibly diplomatic and she could turn most any situation to her advantage.

"Besides, gods cannot break their word once they have given a deal. Can they Hades?"

Hades smirked. "No we can't. But neither can you humans once you enter a deal with a God." He slowly laid his hand out for Jasmine to take. "So... do you accept the deal?"

They were both very charismatic, Jasmine had to admit. This mission excited her. She'd finally have an adventure and would be seen for her intellect and cunning. She couldn't help but grin very widely. She is the princess of the fallen kingdom of Agrabah.

She reached for Hades's hand and held it lightly. "Let's go find ourselves a scarecrow princess."

Tremaine smirked evilly glad things were going her way. "Very well my dear." She walked towards her throne and took a seat, less tense now.

"Now, you will be directed to the rebel village, where you will gain the confidence of the rebel leaders and the knowledge of all their plans, and hideouts. With what you learn, we will take down the entire rebellion all out once, and have no more of this foolish nonsense. You'll have to be convincing; tell them some sad story about wanting revenge and gain their friendship."

Tremaine paused as if thinking over any other details. "You will be given supplies to get you where you need to be, but we cannot be seen helping you for obvious reasons."Tremaine looked at Jasmine for a moment, looked down at her in fact. "You're going to be working with the rebels for a long time Jasmine. So I suggest if you have any unfinished business, you take care of it before you reach the rebels."

Hades smirked. "Cinderella is in Maleficents care for now, I think she can handle her on her own. But I still expect you to rip the rebellion apart." He commented to Jasmine. He then looked to Lady Tremaine. "If you want your stepdaughter back bring it up with Maleficent. I am not getting involved with that."

For a moment Tremaine scowled angrily, then she quickly smoothed her face and regained her composure. "I shall be inquiring then to Maleficent about Cinderella." Tremaine disliked that someone else had the privilege of torturing Cinderella, but she couldn't let that overrun her reason.

"Is there anything else you'd like Hades?" Tremaine said lightly. She liked that the god had given her everything she wanted, but she did not like that he was here, possibly making things difficult for her. She hoped there was nothing else that he required, and he would leave.

He smirked. "I believe that is all for now. Ta ta ladies." He said waving his hand to them as he went off in a smoke.

Anastasia bit back a whimper as the deal was struck. She'd done nothing to intervene. Again. She started wringing her hands again, looking nervously between her mother and Jasmine. On one hand, she was glad that Lady Tremaine wouldn't be beheading Jasmine or turning her into a scarecrow. On the other, she didn't like the fact the wayward princess had struck a deal with Hades. Those only brought pain and suffering. Well, for most people at least. Her mother and sister seemed to be pretty happy.

For some reason, Anastasia found herself moving towards the throne where her mother sat. "Mother, may I have some time with Jasmine before she goes?" Inwardly she was begging her mother to acquiesce. She needed to speak with the other princess. "I won't keep her long."

((Not trying to hold you guys up. Just wanted to put Ana in here one last time.))

Tremaine looked at her daughter for a moment. Anastasia had always been a little strange, but ever since they had taken the castle the girl had been....somewhat unhinged at times. Tremaine wasn't always quite sure what her daughter would do, and being unsure was something she did not like. Still, Anastasia would never go against her own mother, and even if she did, what could she do? The deal had been taken, and neither Jasmine, Hades nor Tremaine could back out now.

"Of course my dear. Take what time you need to speak with your friend. Just remember your manners, and don't let the servants catch you being too friendly. We don't want them getting ideas." Tremaine allowed graciously and with a smile.

Anastasia mentally sighed in relief. Schooling her features, she bowed to her mother and turned to Jasmine, laying a hand on her shoulder to guide her out. Something akin to outrage was slowly replacing her fear; a horrible combination with the fact that the Not-Cinderella was still skulking out of the corner of her eye and hissing at her. Grimms be good, couldn't it just leave?!

Once the two were in a room, Anastasia closed the door behind them before rounding on Jasmine. "Do you know what you've just done?! You just doomed yourself. Nothing good comes from dealing with Hades! Sooner or later you're going to regret that..." Anastasia broke off, grabbing her red curls. "It's my fault. Shouldn't have brought you here. Should've taken you somewhere safe. Castle's not safe, never was. Should've left you in town at least. Could've run from there. My fault you're doomed. Should've hid you...my fault..." As Anastasia continued her downward spiral into a babbling mess, she sank into a chair, head in her hands.

((Meltdown will end soon. She just needs to let it all out for a second. Then we shall disperse! ))

Jasmine stared blankly at Anastasia. She glanced around to see if anybody was looking, feeling somewhat self-conscious being seen with Anastasia in this state. She let her keep talking, and Jasmine could feel the fear and the instability in Anastasia's voice. She hadn't seen anybody act like this. For a moment, Jasmine forgot where she was - who she was. She walked towards where Anastasia sat, and put her hand on her shoulder.

"Anastasia," she whispered, staring at the broken girl with her head in her hands. She bent down and gave Anastasia a tight hug. She was in a somewhat awkward position but she held her grip firmly. "Come with me." She wasn't entirely sure what she was doing, but Jasmine knew she needed to comfort her. Jasmine let go of Anastasia. "Leave this castle that brings you so much unhappiness." She knelt down in front of Anastasia and the chair. Jasmine started talking faster, her thoughts immediately being translated into words. "Just endure for a little longer. The queen cannot know that you would be leaving with me, she'd be angered, she's your mother. You can run away. I can help you!" Jasmine started smiling, getting excited.

"Run away?" The words were strange to say. Of course, she'd thought about leaving her mother's side more than once, but then she would remember what kept her there in the first place. "Mother has the wand, she'd turn us both into scarecrows before we set foot out of the castle."

Anastasia shook her head, wiping her eyes with a shaking hand. "I'd love to leave and be free more than anything...but it's impossible. For me at least. Mother would surely notice me gone, and find a way to get me back." It's a a fool's plan, as much as it was a wonderful thought. Unless...unless Anastasia asked her mother to go on another trip. Maybe convince her mother to send her to Illusia, where people said King James was looking for a bride. Lady Tremaine would just love an ally bound to her by marriage.

"That's it. That's likely to work." Anastasia muttered out loud. She looked up at Jasmine, an excited gleam in her eyes now too. "Jasmine, I'm going to Illusia to get married. At least I'll try. The roads are really dangerous, you know....and anything can happen. Especially to a young girl like me."

Anastasia was on a roll today.

Jasmine's entire face brightened. She was impressed, she had to admit. She smiled, glad to of made friends with Anastasia. Jasmine reached for Anastasia's hands and held them excitedly. "That's a brilliant idea!" Still smiling, she brought her voice down to a whisper. "Well, what are we waiting for then?" She stood up and moved back a few steps so she could outstretch her arms. "There isn't any time to waste! Come, you must tell the queen, and then we can go right away!"

Jasmine paused to think for a moment. She would have to get the Magic Carpet another time, then. She couldn't stay with Anastasia forever, so perhaps there will be another time she would be able to.

For the first time in so long, Anastasia was looking forward to the future. 'Free from mother! Oh, I never thought that would happen! And now I have a chance. Blast it, why didn't I think of this sooner?' she thought.

"No time to waste! Can't keep a 'king' waiting, now can we?" Anastasia giggled. She hiked up her skirts and hurried back to the throne room, praying her mother was in the mood for making another alliance, and not through Drizella either.

Tremaine watched from the large castle window as two carriages rolled out of the palace gates. One would have Jasmine in it; she would be ushered off of palace grounds and left to find her way to the rebel base to fulfill her job of being a double-spy. In the other carriage, was her daughter Anastasia. The child had come running, begging to be allowed to go try and win King Hook's favor and become his bride. Tremaine had considered the idea before, but she was shocked when Anastasia seemed so enthusiastic about it. Tremaine had been unsure of the idea; she didn't really believe her daughter would be able to win Hook over but...it was an opportunity she could not pass up. If Anastasia did become queen, then that was a triumph for Tremaine. And even if she did not get the crown, there were plenty of eligible young men in the other kingdom. She could still make a good alliance. At least Tremaine hoped so. She was wary of Anastasia's new-found excitement, and she was not blind to the fact that it came only after she had spoken alone with the clever Jasmine.

Oh yes, Tremaine was hopeful yet wary of the two girls, and she would be keeping a very close eye on them.
