How can a scarecrow walk? (tag lady tremaine, and maybe anastasia too)

Hades emerged out of thin air, to the throne room of the castle. On his mind was his encounter with the should be taken care of Cinderella. "TREMAINE!!!!!" He belowed, his voice magnified by the empty throne room. He was not pleased.

"Mother is indisposed at the moment." A trembling voice came from behind Hades.

Anastasia had all but jumped out of her skin when the god of the dead appeared before her. She'd never really understood why her mother had associated with him. The guy was bad news, she could feel it in her gut. But if her mother heard she'd been rude to him from the servants, Anastasia would be in deep trouble.

"Is there something I can help you with?" she asked politely, trying to her best not to shake.

Hades turned around, looking at the redhead. "What could possibly be more important than meeting me?!" He was trying to control his anger. The only indication was slight white flames on the edge of his flame hair. "I don't suppose you know why is Cinderella out there walking free? Wasn't your mother supposed to take care of her?!"

Lady Tremaine walked calmly into the room with her head held high and the magic wand held loosely in her hands.

"My apologizes in delaying to greet you Hades, but I was busy with taking care of this little problem." She said with a smile and a polite nod of her head.

Hades looked to the direction where Lady Tremaine came from. He ignored the greeting. "How small? smaller than a scarecrow?" He shot sharply. "You left lose threads Tremaine... tsk tsk... Not good..."

Tremaine remained calm on the surface not in the least showing that Cinderella's awakening angered her. "Leaving the much loved Queen in her tragic state worked very well. It was a warning to all not to challenge the new rule, and it also brought them much despair and sadness. Something I believe you would appreciate."

"Yes, quite right it worked very well...." He said talking fast as if he was complimenting her. He then stopped for a second, before his anger flared up again. "Except now she is out there and the people can gather around her now!!! Now the challenge is on you!!"

Tremaine narrowed her eyes and snapped her wand into her hands. "As I have mentioned Hades. Things are being taken care of. I knew very quickly of Cinderella's escape and even I am finalizing the plans for a much more fitting end for the girl." She raised her head higher. "Cinderella will be brought down, and her example will leave all of those filthy rebellions questioning their alliances."

He raised his eyebrow, calmly waiting for her to elaborate. "Do continue."

Tremaine paused a moment to gather her words, and also to keep Hades paying attention to what she had to say. She knew better than to try and play with a god's mood, but she needed him to listen to her and trust that she had things under control. "Cinderella seems to be the type to always find herself friends. Even as a maid in my house, she befriended mice of all things. She's too easily lead and quick to believe in the good of people. I can use that, and then I can use her. When she is weak, when she does not suspect it, someone close to her will strike her down, and all of her foolish friends along with her. It will be her end, the end of her friends, and the end of hope for this rebellion."

He listened intently. "Do you have details? Or should I just wait and see?"

"There is just one thing that must be taken care of before this plan can be put into action, and for that, I'm afraid I need some assistance." Tremaine turned aside then and looked sharply at her daughter.

"Anastasia! That girl you brought with you to the castle today, I want you to go get her and bring her here. She should be resting in her room now." Tremaine ordered sharply

Hades raised his eyebrow questioningly. Since when did Lady Tremaine start doing charity? His attention was directed at Anastasia, waiting for results.

Jasmine had sneaked out of her room. After resting for a bit, she grew bored and terribly wanted to explore the castle. She tip-toed across the castle, avoiding servants and any other people. She heard voices nearby, coming from the throne room. It was the Queen and Anastasia's voice. There was also a strange, unfamiliar voice. She pressed her ear to the door with curiosity, listening intently. She tried not to make a noise.

Tremaine nodded slightly at Hades. "I would hardly consider it charity. Normally if my daughters brought some beggar-rat back to the castle, I would lock it up or put it to work. But for this girl, I made an exception. She will be very useful to my plans."

(I am so sorry for the delay! We've got midterms soon, so we've been busy at school. OMG, so nervous. >_____> Anyways, I'm back!)

Anastasia cringed at her mother's sharp order, and from Hades' intent stare. For the love of Pete, did he have to look at her! Being in the same room was terrifying enough. "Yes, Mother." she said quietly, bowing to the queen and god of the dead. She hurried to the door of the throne room, trying to quickly think up a way to explain the situation they now found themselves in. The worst Anastasia had previously thought would happen to the girl would her being thrown out or into the dungeons. But now that she knew her mother had a plan to use the girl to find Cinderella, and stop the rebellion, Anastasia knew that things were definitely the worst they could ever get. She hoped that by some miracle she could sneak Jasmine out of the castle. 'I would probably tag along, even.' she thought. Anastasia's hand paused just short of the doorknob. Now where had that thought come from? She had everything here! Money, dresses, jewels, delicious food...why was she thinking of giving that up?

Because you don't deserve it.

The hairs on the back of her neck stood up at the familiar voice. No, no, no, now was the worst time for that thing to show up. Not wanting to freak out in front of her mother and Hades, Anastasia opened the door and dived outside into the hall, shutting the door behind her. The thing had followed her. It was staring at her. Not with the kind eyes she'd always had before, but with hateful, dark eyes meant just for her. The Not-Cinderella often had that look when she appeared. And for some reason, Anastasia couldn't blame her. The hallucination remained quiet, though, and merely slid its gaze to Jasmine, who was for some reason in front of Anastasia. A shaking hand reached up to brush away a stray red lock from her face. 'Have to pull it together...can't lose it in front of her...Need to ignore the thing...' she told herself.

"Um, there's a problem. Mother's...friend, is here. They both want to see you. You...you gotta keep it together, okay? It's gonna be alright...somehow..." Anastasia rambled on, wringing her hands as she looked at her feet. Wouldn't that thing just stop staring at her?! Her breath came in ragged patterns. "It'll be okay. Can't happen again. Won't let it happen. Not again." Anastasia looked up at Jasmine. For a moment, she was all patchwork and straw and raggedy beautiful clothes. "I'm so sorry, Cinderella." she whispered as she grabbed fistfuls of her hair.


(MASSIVE PANIC ATTACK. All for a good reason, I assure you. And sorry about the length....)

Hades gave a sharp look to the black haired girl, as if judging her. She looked too fragile to be causing any harm to anyone. "And what makes you think she can actually do the work you want her to do?" He lifted his eyebrow at Tremaine.

OOC: Sorry I somehow didn't see that Jasmine and Tremaine had replied in this >.< sorry -hands you a ruler, and lays my hands on the table infront of you- punish me ^^ And it's okay Anastasia, school comes first ^^

Jasmine had never seen a man quite like the one that stood before her. She glared at him, for his comment, but she composed herself before she made a fool out of herself. She didn't know what was happening, and she did not like that feeling of not knowing. She cleared her throat and furrowed her eyebrows. She was rested, and now she could stand up for herself.

She used the voice she was taught to use when negotiating as a princess, "I do believe that I have a right to know what I have been summoned for."

"Oh course, of course you do my dear." Tremaine replied with a smile and a bow of her head. "You don't need to be alarmed at all. No harm will come to you here."

Tremaine looked back to Hades and waved her hand to gesture towards the new girl. "Hades, please allow me to introduce you to someone who could play a key role in this rebellion--and not just in the case of Cinderella." Tremaine paused for a moment to let the anticipation build.

"May I present, Princess Jasmine of Agrabah."

Well that caught his interest. He gave a slight smirk looking Jasmine over again. "Now you caught my intrest. But what does the title serve her now. Agrabah was destroyed. Not by my orders though.... but you know." He said shrugging his shoulders.

"But, a displaced princess causes sympathy. People will want to help her; the well loved princess of Agrabah would be accepted with open arms into the rebel community." Tremaine gripped the wand a little harder, and her smile took on more of a cold smirk. "Which is exactly where we want her to be. In the center of things, and working for us."

Jasmine took a small step back. She looked down, shocked and slightly self-conscious. Her head snapped back up as the queen started talking.

Jasmine started getting angry. She knew that people would not take her as seriously anymore since Agrabah had fallen, but she still held herself at that high position and refused to think less. "So, am I to be just a pawn in your war? The same war that took everything away from me?" She crossed her arms, but thought about it for a moment, considering it. "Besides, what's in it for me?" She looked at the man again, more curious than ever as to who he was.

Tremaine looked at the girl more closely for a moment. She knew of Jasmine because she had made it a point to know about all the princesses who were possible competition for Prince Charming's attention. Of course, it turned out that she should have been paying more attention to the girl at home. But she knew of Jasmine, knew the girl was clever and smart. She knew she needed to be careful.

But, anyone used to living well all their lives, used to being a princess and having everything their way could easily be bought. After all, wouldn't Jasmine be trying to get back what she had lost?

"My dear, do not think of yourself as a pawn; more as an important person in our plan. As you just heard Hades say, we did not plan for the tragedy of Agrabah. But you may think of this as a way to win back some of your former glory. Help us, and you will be well compensated." Tremaine looked pointedly at Hades waiting for him to back her up on this.

Hades smirked, walking closer to Jasmine. It was refreshing that someone didn't know who he was. He looked down at her. "The name is Hades, Lord of the underworld. How your doing?" He smirked. "Anywho, I can grant you anything you want. Even raise your crumbeled kingdom and give you your rusting crown back." He looked over his shoulder at Tremaine. "Is that motivating enough?" He asked smirking wickedly.

Jasmine raised an eyebrow, impressed. A god! That was certainly new. With her arms still crossed, Jasmine shifted her weight to her left and a wicked smile crept on her face. "Anything, huh?" She wasn't sure entirely what she wanted, but the possibilities excited her greatly.

Jasmine glanced back to Anastasia, suddenly remembering she was there. She looked from Anastasia now to the queen, her smile fading a bit. She felt ready, but there was a still some innocence inside of her that wanted reassurance. "How do I know I can trust you?"
