Cut From The Same Cloth (Tag: Kida)

Jim had always been cocky. He winked at Kida and smiled at her "I'm sure I'll think of something. You wanna come with me?" Jim put out his hand to her.

Kida grimaces but, obviously he isn't going to be listening. "I can get you in alive and secret," she admits tired of argueing, "but after that you'd make a quick disappearance of yourself if you want to stay that way." She takes his hand, "I just want you to remember I was against this from the start."

He smiled at her. "Hey you get me in and I'll handle the rest. After all no one is invincible, just harder to kill."

Kida smiles despite herself, and it makes it that much harder to lead him there, after all there's a very real possibility she isn't going to be able to help him where they're going. She can't hel one last try but it's half hearted. "We are both going to regret this," she sighs.

Jim helped her up and gave her a wink "Possibly but that's where the challenge comes in, and life isn't worth living if there aren't any challenges."

"I'm dead," Kida points out idily "but, I did promise a forest-dwelling fairy a nasty surprise through a certain secret entrance," she pretends to look him over, "I guess you'll do." There's a pit in her stomach warning her what a horrible idea this is but, she won't get another chance with someone willing to face Hades head on, "Follow me."

Jim chuckled "You talking about Merryweather. I met her when I got lost in her forrest." He knew it was probably a good idea but it may be his only chance to take a shot at this guy.

Kida shrugs dispassionately, "I didn't ask the old fairy her name," she admits, "she didn't trust me and I didn't trust her. Our agreement was business, absolutely nothing personal," she states simply. Then in a voice lacking even the slightest regret she continues, "few people trust anyone nowadays, guess that's what this war has done, people don't like giving names it connects them to someone or something makes them guilty on one side or another, so if I steer clear of personal stuff, it makes people more comfortable in talking if what they say can't hurt them. So maybe it was this Merryweather maybe it wasn't all I know is she told me where to cause a bit of havoc."

Jim smiled at her. "You're an interesting character Kida, you know that." He walked towards the door with her behind him. "So we headed back to Merryweather's place?"

Kida flashes a wolfish grin, "I am what I am," her smile relaxes contentedly, grateful at not having to face Hades yet, "and yes, that would be a good idea."

He smiled back. "Well let's not waste any time." With that he walked out the door heading back to the forrest where Merryweather lived.

Kida follows him in silence, back to the forest and the grumpy old fairy.
