What is this a bed and breakfast? {Jim, Ariel, and Taran]

Merriweather rolled her eyes again and mumbled, "Yes boy genius over there really tried to take down the god of the dead with a pistol."
She shook her head and opened her jar of blue salve. Scooping out a bunch of it, she began to gently rub it onto the open wound.
"This will help with the pain, and keep it from getting infected," she explained.
She straightened and looked from Ariel to Taran.
"Now it's your turn. How did you two end up in my forest."

Jim leaned against the wall as he wanted to hear this story. What had Ariel been up to since he last saw her.

She took a deep breath, liking how the pain was supsiding. "I got captured by my own sister Taran busted me out, and I decided to take adetour through the forest than take the obvious route. We were taking a breather and then we met Mij."

Merriweather kept rubbing the salve around the wound.
"Close family..." she muttered.
But as the girl kept speaking, worry gnawed at her gut.
"Have the rumors of the forest subsided so much that you would enter it freely?"
The fear of the forest was the only thing protecting not only her, but the refugees that fled through it.

"Rumors?" Taran raised his eyebrows. He haven't heard about the rumors. He was still new to this place.

Ariel laughed. "There are wanted posters of me all over the kingdoms. If I get caught I lose my head most likely. Walking through a cursed forest doesn't scare me."

Merriweather sank back onto a chair, rubbing a hand over her forehead, tiredly. She had been too distracted of late. Somehow, she had to make sure the fear of her forest grew.
"Tell me," she said suddenly. "Who you serve."

"Clopin, and the rebellion. We want to overthrow the current rulers. And to stop the evil ones." She paused for a moment. "Though having Hades stirring the pot brings more challenge to the task.

Taran nodded. "We want to be able to fight off the dark side and get our loved ones back."

Merriweather narrowed her eyes. The rebellion...Jim had mentioned that earlier. She bit her lip thoughtfully and automatically waved her wand, conjuring a tea pot and four teacups.

The teapot poured of its own accord as she got up and started pacing.

"Tell me, what are you wanted for?"

Ariel blinked few times in disbelief. The fairy seemed so knowledgeable. "You mean, you don't know?" She smiled amused, she seemed to run into people who didn't know who she was, or didn't care. She took the offered tea. "I am the former queen of Illusia. No crime greater than that."

Jim walked over to Ariel interested in what happened to Mij. "Where is he now? How did you escape him."

She took a sip of her tea. "Taran beat him in the head with a branch. He must be laying somewhere out there unconcious still."

Jim knew he couldn't miss the opportunity. He grabbed his shirt and threw it on followed by his jacket. "If I'm lucky I can catch him and get the drop on him." His shoulder was hurting but ignored it. If he could get rid of Mij he was going to. Jim was headed for the door with the intent of leaving.

"After I knocked him out, I carried Ariel to find some help. And we somehow ended up here." Taran said, sipping his tea that he was offered by Merryweather.

Taran's watched as Jim was about to leave. Was he insane? Was Jim really going out there to face Mij? Didn't he realize by now how dangerous Mij was?

Ariel looked at Jim in disbelief. "You are in no fighting fit! Sit down Jim! For all we know he could be up allready and out for vengance. I am not holding a funeral for you." She said a bit harshly, hoping it would hit Jim.

He turned to Ariel and he wasn't smiling. "Look Mij is my problem and I gotta deal with him. Him and I should be equals on everything which means I should know his weaknesses. I gotta do this." Jim's hand reached for the door nob.

"Hold it!" Taran put the tea cup down on the table, standing up. "You can't just go out there to fight him thinking you'll be able to stop him. You're only going to get yourself hurt more, or even get killed! Think before you risk your life!"

Ariel's eyes narrowed. " Equals?! You are injured and he is going to be very angry when he wakes up. Does that sound fair to you?" She motioned to her shoulder. "We got lucky. It won't be happening again I am sure." She took a calming breath. "Now sit down and drink your tea. You will get your chance to get Mij. Just not today."

"Look, Jim. Ariel is right." Taran said in a serious tone. "You need to get your strength back before you can face Mij again. And maybe, we can all face him together."

Jim turned on Taran. He was angry that Taran was talking down at him. The one sure way to get under Jim's skin was to talk down at him. He stepped in front of Taran and looked down at him. "Look Taran firstly I didn't ask for your help, secondly I don't know you, thirdly I will take care of Mij on my own, and in conclusion stay out of my way!" Jim stormed back to the door.

Merriweather's formidable temper flared. Her plump cheeks burned red. She shot to block the door. Her eyes flashed.
"You are not going anywhere." she growled. "You are still hurt. And, mother fairies help me, I am going to make sure you are healed."

Sparks flew from the top of her wand as she pointed it at him. "Don't force me to stop you."

He turned to look at Merryweather. His hand still had a hold on the door. "I have to do this Merryweather, before he hurts someone else."

Taran was about to say something to Jim, then he went silent when Merryweather pulled out her wand as she aimed it at Jim.

Merriweather's eyes softened ever so slightly.
"Jim, I know. You feel responsible and you want to make amends. But you are in no condition to fight right now. All that would come of it is your death."
Her voice cracked slightly.
"And you can't make amends if your dead."
It was something she had told herself every day since her flora and fauna had died. She would do no good if she was dead.
