Side:
Kenai is on the good side. He doesn't know that anything bad has happened to anyone else yet and therefore he is only trying to rescue Koda for himself but he wouldn't be opposed to helping others, espically if they can help him in return.

Personality:
Useually a carefree spirit, Kenai loves to play around and explore but he has a side that, when provoked, he will stop at nothing to get his way. He is very protective of his "Little Brother" and will so anything for him.

History:
Kenai was a young Inuit on the verge of becoming a man. But after his brother Sitka died saving him from a bear, Kenai decided to kill the bear at all costs. He succeeded, but for acting out of hate rather than out of love as he had been commanded to do, the spirits turned Kenai himself into a bear as punishment for his actions. To become human again, Kenai had to travel to a mountain peak called, "the place where the (Northern) lights touch the earth." Along the way, however, Kenai met an orphaned bear named Koda. At first Kenai did not like the young bear's company, but eventually he became attached to him. Then Kenai learned that the bear he had hunted and killed had been Koda's mother. When he becomes human again, Kenai chose to stay in the woods and live with Koda, who needed him more than any of his own people. For this act of love, Kenai was declared to have become a man

After the war:
After Kenai decided to stay with Koda and live among the bears his life was perfect. Plenty of adventure to have and of course, all the fish they could ever want. They were happy, but of course, good things can never last.

Something changed, it was sudden and unexpected. A group of hunters, who had always been to scared to venture into their part of the woods, suddenly got brave. They raided the den looking for the best pelts and meat they could find. Fearing for Koda's life more than his own, Kenai ran with him, leaving the other members of their family behind with regret.

But the hunters were relentless and they didn't stop chasing them. Knowing they would never both get away, Kenai hid Koda and told him to stay hidden, then risked his own life and ran out into the open. As it turned out, the hunters were not going to be satisfied with being out witted, they found Koda and ran away with him and the other bears they captured.

Kenai, being quick on his feet, got away but with the knowledge that they took his beloved "brother". Once he swore that he would never let anything bad happen to him, and he vowed to keep that promise.

After making his way to the point where the spirits touch the earth, he begged them to turn him back into a human. Knowing his intentions were good and he could do much more for Koda in his former body, they granted him his wish.

Kenai's own brother was the one to greet him and wish him a safe journey. Having not seen his brother for over a year now, his face lit up and for a moment all the bad thoughts swept from his mind. But they soon came crashing back and he knew what he must do.

Now he is out for revenge.


Their purpose:
Kenai wants not only to rescue Koda, and the other bears if possible, but he wants revenge on those who took them away from him.

Family:
Sitka = dead
Denahi = alive and living with his people
Koda = adopted little brother, captured by hunters
