Side:
Ultimately Evil, wishing for the war to continue as long as possible. She will not hesitate to befriend people if she deems them as useful no matter what alignment, but will not personally go out of her way to assist them.
Personality:
She is a sociopath; cunning, vain, intelligent, and stubborn. She views people as objects or pawns, and is not afraid to get her hands dirty when dealing with them. She's seductive, manipulative, and patient, learning of one's weaknesses and then pouncing on them when the time is right. She is still very adventurous, prideful, and independent. She pities younger people and thinks very highly of intelligent people and values them the most. Her first instinct is to ally with these clever folk. She can also be very vulnerable, accidentally saying more information about herself to others that she does not want them to know. She tries to show no fears, she is not willing to let anyone use her own technique against her. She also has the biggest fear of snakes.
History:
Jasmine has dreamed of adventure her entire life. Her social status designated her to be wed by the age of 16. She has always asserted her independence and resent to the law and eventually ran away from the palace. She met a boy in the marketplace, and they immediately connected. He was taken away by guards by the royal vizier Jafar's orders, and she returned to the palace to learn that he was arrested for "kidnapping the princess" and that his death sentence has already been carried out. She cried throughout the night believing it was her fault.
A few days later, another suitor arrived, Prince Ali, whom she immediately noticed that he looked familiar. Her hunch was right, and she discovered that he was the boy from the marketplace. She and Prince Ali go on a magic carpet ride, fall in love, and share a kiss. Shortly afterwards, they discover of Jafar's evil doings and treachery. Jafar managed to escape.
Jasmine told her father that Ali was the suitor that she chose, and as the Sultan introduced Prince Ali to Agrabah, Jafar returned and attacked the palace with the aid of his newfound Genie. With the help of the Genie, he becomes the sultan and a sorcerer with great powers. Jafar revealed that Prince Ali is not who he claimed to be, but instead a street rat named Aladdin. Jasmine and the Sultan are left alone with Jafar after he sends Aladdin away to a far off land. Back at the palace, she sees Aladdin, and with her cunning and Aladdin's cleverness they manage to defeat Jafar by having him turn himself into a Genie only to be detained inside a lamp.
Outside, Aladdin frees the Genie and he says goodbye and flies off, never to be seen again. Afterwards, the Sultan believes that Aladdin has truly proven his worth and makes it so that the Princess can marry whomsoever she deems worthy, and she chooses Aladdin. They are preparing to be wed shortly.
After the war:
Jafar has returned to Agrabah, with vegenance and manages to destroy most of the city and imprison the Genie back into his lamp. He targets Aladdin first, and Jasmine is separated from him and the Sultan. She never sees either of them again. She is just barely able to escape the palace before she watches it collapse into dust. At the same time, many people are fleeing from Agrabah. Jafar is nowhere to be seen now and there is no trace of anything in the ruins of the palace.
For days, Jasmine hid in fear, crying, barely eating, slowly losing her sanity, until finally she gathered up the strength to walk the barren streets of what is left of Agrabah. She stole from houses and the dead bodies that lay in the rubble. In just a matter of days, she became accustomed to these dead bodies and burns each of them indivually immediately. The bodies began appearing only as mere objects in her way now, and she slowly became a sociopath (seeing people as tools or pawns rather than actual people). She has always possessed the qualities of one (intelligence, manipulative, etc) but only now after the trauma does she view other people as playthings.
A man oblivious to what has happened enters the town, and Jasmine charms him and learns of the war that has been going on. She finds him useless afterwards, and proceeds to stab and burn his body alive. As she fixedly watches the man burn alive, she begins to realize that she finds herself ravenous for the adrenaline caused by this new sporadic lifestyle that she never had the opportunity to have before. Slowly, she starts to enjoy the war taking place as she always dreamed of adventure, but only now does she get to roam around and have an adventure of her own.
Originally, she intended to seek Jafar out with vengeance and end him the way he should've been ended through her new eyes, but internally she begins to wonder if that is what she really wants. She is finally having an unpredictable and exciting life, and she does not want to lose it. She is practically living from the almost lustful adrenaline rush, and no longer wishes to restore Agrabah. Internally, she is letting go of her want for revenge, and is starting to debate whether or not she should actually thank Jafar for granting her the wish she had always had.
