They had gone to her cabin and taken some suplies. It wasn't much, she didn't have that much food or anything. It almost made her regret that she had given some to Thomas when he left.
They were walking along a forest path, Thomas walking infront of her, holding the rope that was tied around her wrists. He seemed pretty concentrated on something else so Ariel decided she'd try something.
Almost silently she wrapped the rope around her hand and without warning she pulled it out of Thomas's hold.
She gave a triumphant smirk,running out of the path through the woods. Hoping to lose Thomas, and maybe get away.

Ariel had said a word on their travels.
Which made it easier for Thomas to relax and think.
He didn't think he would be turning the bounty in to Maleficent.
But now there's no way he'd tell Ariel the second part of his plan.

Thomas was pulled out his thoughts by a... yank?
He whipped around to see Ariel smirking before dashing off into the forest.
His shoulders dropped with sigh and he facepalmed before going after her.

She jumped over fallen trees and tree stumps. She found it difficult with her hands tied so she couldn't use them to her full advantage.
She tried jumping over another fallen tree, seeing a forest river shining in the distance. If she could make it there she could get away.
She fell and stumbeled when the hem of her dress got caught on a branch. She cursed, ripping herself free, but that had made Thomas to catch up to her. Damn. She tried running again.

Thomas chased after Ariel, but the weight of their supplies was slowing him down.
He dropped them by a tree mid-pursuit and continued in the direction he last saw her.
He was greatful to have found her recovering from what looked like a fall and he decided that's how he would catch her.
He sprinted up to her and when he got in range, he tackled her to the ground.
But they ended up rolling down a slope into the river.
Thomas pulled her into him and held her tight as he used a tree branch to pull them out.
They collapsed on the ground and Thomas pounced on her, pinning her to the grass.
The weight of their soaked clothes made it hard for them to move.
They stayed that way for a moment, catching their breath.

Ariel felt Thomas tackle her, and before she knew it she was in the river, and then back on land. She tried catching her breath, looking defiantly up into Thomas' s eyes. She couldn't deny being pinned like this made her somehow anxious. She tried her best to keep her mask on. "You seem to like this position huh? You pinning me down." She asked, trying to sound sarcastic.

Thomas smirked at her defiant stare.
But he frowned at her sarcasm when he realized what she said had some truth to it.
He liked this woman but not because she was the first to help him.

"I guess the hard way it is," he replied as something flashed in his eyes.

"But first I'm going to start a fire. We'll stay here for the night."
He finally stood up and got started, going back to retrieve the supplies he dropped earlier.

She sat up. What would he need to talk to her about. She just nodded, watching him move off.
She got her hands untied, walking to the river to get herself cleaned up. She contenplated leaving again, but decided to stay. She sat on the bank of the river, waiting for him to come back. She dipped her feet in the water, feeling somewhat at home. She looked at her reflection in the water, that little mysterious smile on her lips felt great. Long time since she last had done that.

It took Thomas a while but he finally got a fire started.
He made sure it wasn't too far from the riverbank, in case they had to make a quick get away.
He tested the flame for warmth and once satisfied, he proceeded to the river and sat by the edge.
He glanced at Ariel as he removed his shirt and scrubbed it hard under the water.

She watched him. "You wanted to talk to me about something." She said with a smile. She didn't want to comment on him doing laundry. He would surely have made her wash it if she had. And that would have led into more fighting between them, and she didn't really want that right now. She just let herself enjoy the view.
